Recycle Escape Room

A VR escape room game made in Unity . This project was commissioned by EEAA and executed in collaboration with Mindtrap Advertising, who handled the design aspects. The game was showcased at TIF 2024.

This project contains the following features/gameplay loop:

  • The game is played by at least two players, one VR player, and one or more physical players are needed to play the game. The reason is the clues and the answers are split in the VR and real world, so the players must communicate to solve the puzzles in the rooms. The non-VR players see the game on a screen from a specific angle in each room.
  • The players need to solve 3 rooms to learn about the 3 steps of the recycling process: Collecting, Sorting, and Recycling. Before entering each room has a description and lore behind it to inform the players about recycling and how to solve the puzzles.
  • The VR player needs to inform the other players of the clues in his UI or surroundings and the other players need to find the clues or answers in physical props to solve the rooms.
